Cooking didn’t click for me until 2020. We’d just had our first child that April, I was buried in our wine ecommerce business as it hit new records, and my mother-in-law—an amazing cook, especially of Indian food—kept us alive. When her kitchen support was ending, I learned to cook her way if I wanted to keep eating like that. We still share recipes, and she still challenges and guides me.
