About

Taco Tuesday

We have a taco problem.

Not the kind we’re trying to fix.

We’re the Taco Tuesday crew, and we’re seriously obsessed with tacos—the crispy ones, the messy ones, the roadside ones, the chef-driven ones, the ones you eat standing over the kitchen sink because waiting for a plate felt unnecessary.

But somewhere along the way, we realized tacos are about a lot more than what’s folded inside a tortilla.

They tell stories.

About where you are. Who’s cooking. What grows there. What people have been eating for generations. What a chef learned from their family, their neighborhood, a trip, or the kitchen they came up in.

A taco can take you somewhere.

It can lead you to a taquería in Mexico City, a backyard grill in Los Angeles, a seafood stand on the coast, or a chef doing something completely unexpected with masa, smoke, salsa, and a very good idea.

That’s what Taco Tuesday is here to explore.

So, what makes Taco Tuesday different?

We don’t just want to give you another taco recipe.

We want to tell you why it’s worth making.

We dig into the chefs, destinations, traditions, ingredients, and stories behind the food, then bring everything back to the kitchen in a way that’s actually useful.

Because once it’s time to cook, we get serious.

Recipes should be clear. Ingredients should be easy to find. Temperatures should make sense. You should know what something is supposed to look, smell, and taste like before you move on to the next step.

No mystery meat instructions. No seventeen-paragraph detour while your tortillas get cold.

Just good tacos and the information you need to make them right.

We also believe giving credit matters. Food has history, and recipes have roots. We want to celebrate the cooks, chefs, regions, restaurants, and cultures that inspire what lands on our table without flattening everything into one big taco-shaped cliché.

Sometimes we’ll go traditional. Sometimes we’ll get weird.

Breakfast burritos? Absolutely.

Ribeye tacos? Obviously.

Pizza wrapped in a burrito? We’ve made stranger decisions.

The point is to stay curious, cook well, and never forget that one of the best things about food is where it can take you.

Taco Tuesday is for people who believe tacos aren’t just dinner.

They’re culture. They’re history. They’re a destination.

And yes, they’re also an excellent excuse for hot sauce.

Come hungry. Stay curious.
