Did you know?!? 🌮 Back in 1962, Glen Bell flipped taco cravings into a business with the first Taco Bell in Downey, California. Inspired by roadside taco stands, he brought crunchy shells to the masses. Fast forward—PepsiCo grabbed the hot sauce in ’78, fueling a global taco takeover. 🔥🚀

Today we’re saluting Glen and the infamous Taco Bell with the Fire Hot Sauce recipe! Making it at home is way easier than you might imagine.

Taco Bell Fire Sauce

INGREDIENTS
1 can of tomato paste
3 cups water
3 Tablespoons vinegar
½ cup pickled jalapenos
1 ½ teaspoons chili powder
1 ½ teaspoons ancho chili powder
1 Tablespoon dehydrated onion
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

INSTRUCTIONS
COMBINE all the ingredients in a blender and puree for about 20 seconds

PUT the mixture into a saucepan and bring to a slight boil, stirring all the while so as not to burn the contents

BRING the mixture to a simmer, and continue to stir, allowing the cornstarch to thicken the mix and the flavors to marry, around 10-15 minutes

COOL completely and store in an airtight container for up to three weeks
