Perfect Party Batch Margaritas

Hola Taco Lovers!

Our Rick Bayless Obsession Runs Deep… and Boozy šŸ¹šŸŒ®
We’ve had a slightly unhealthy obsession with Chef Rick Bayless ever since his Food Network days, teaching us all things chiles, mole, and tortillas. Before Rick, ā€œMexican nightā€ meant hard shells from a box. Now? We know better.

But plot twist: Rick’s been holding out. Turns out, he makes margaritas that seriously slap—the kind meant for backyard hangs with your best crew and a pitcher that never empties.

This isn’t just a drink—it’s a Rick Bayless-level fiesta in a glass.

šŸ¹ Rick Bayless’s Party-Perfect Margaritas

Recipe By: Chef Rick Bayless

šŸ’”Margarita Pro Tips
For Brightness: Go with blanco tequila + clear orange liqueur (like Cointreau).
For Smoothness: Try reposado or aƱejo + a dark, brandy-based liqueur (like Grand Marnier).
For Purity: Always choose 100% blue agave tequila.
For Tang: Add more lime juice for a refreshing zip.
For Balance: More agave syrup mellows it out and adds body (more than simple syrup ever could).
For Skinny: Cut the agave syrup in half! It’ll be extra tart.

INGREDIENTS
1 750 mL bottle tequila (see pro tips)
3/4 cup orange liqueur
1/2 cup agave syrup or simple syrup
1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice, plus a lime to cut for rimming the glasses

INSTRUCTIONS
Pitcher Prep:
In a half-gallon pitcher, mix:
Tequila
Orange liqueur
Agave or simple syrup
Fresh lime juice

Stir, taste, and adjust (remember: it'll mellow and brighten after chilling).
Refrigerate until party time.

Glass Game:
Chill 6.5 oz martini glasses (optional but classy).
Rub rims with lime, dip in coarse salt.

To Serve:
Shake 4 oz of the mix with ice (use a cocktail shaker: 1–3 drinks at a time)
Shake 10–15 seconds
Strain into salt-rimmed glasses
Garnish with lime wedges
Hand off and watch the smiles happen

šŸ‘‰ Pro Tip: Keep a 4 oz ladle in the pitcher for fast measuring. Cheers!
