INGREDIENTS
Tortillas
Ground beef
Heath Riles BBQ Beef Rub
Sliced or Shredded Cheddar cheese
All American Burger Sauce
TOPPINGS
Diced White Onion
Shredded Lettuce
BURGER SAUCE
2 tbsp Ketchup
1 tbsp Mustard
3-4 tbsp Mayonnaise
Chopped Pickles
2 tbsp The W Sauce
1-2 tbsp Heath Riles BBQ Beef Rub
INSTRUCTIONS
HEAT up a griddle or non-stick pan. I greased the griddle with a dollop of Bacon Up Bacon Grease.
FORM the burgers. To form the Big Mac Tacos, I laid a tortilla on the cutting board and placed a meat patty over the top. Using my hands, I smashed the meat into the tortilla until it formed a thin layer that covered the entire surface.
MAKE the All American Burger Sauce. In a small mixing bowl, I combined diced pickles, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, W Sauce, and a sprinkle of Heath Riles BBQ Beef Rub until homogenous.
ADD seasoning. I sprinkled Heath Riles BBQ Beef Rub over the Big Mac Tacos to add a burst of flavor. You can go heavy-handed with this seasoning because you aren’t seasoning both sides.
MAKE the Big Mac Tacos. I laid the tortillas, meat-side down, on the griddle and gently pressed them down. I let each Big Mac Taco sear until golden, then flipped it.
ADD cheese. I sprinkled the Big Mac Tacos with shredded cheddar cheese and let the tacos go until the cheese was semi-melted. Be sure to watch the video to see my hack for getting the gooiest cheese ever!
ASSEMBLE the Big Mac Tacos. I removed the Big Mac Tacos from the griddle and placed them on a butcher paper lined baking tray. To assemble the tacos, I drizzled a spoonful of All American Burger Sauce over the top, followed by a little onion, and shredded lettuce. Now that’s a taco! The only thing left is to fold the taco in half and dig in!
