World Cup Deluxe Sheet Pan Nachos

Recipe By: @isabeleats

Fun Fact: The World Cup is the world’s most-watched sporting event, turning tiny cafés, giant stadiums, and living rooms into one massive global watch party.

What You’ll Need 🌶️

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef, or ground chicken, turkey, or plant-based protein
1 tablespoon tomato paste
2 teaspoons chili powder
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon dried oregano
10 ounces tortilla chips, divided
4 cups Mexican-blend shredded cheese, divided
1 cup cooked black beans, divided
1 cup cooked yellow corn, divided

Optional Toppings
diced roma tomatoes
pickled jalapeños
sour cream or Mexican crema
diced red onions
chopped cilantro

🔥 Step By Step

1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 400ºF. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and get ready for nacho magic.

2️⃣ Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and oregano.

3️⃣ Break up the meat with a wooden spoon and cook for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned, saucy, and smelling like taco night just clocked in early.

4️⃣ Time to layer. Spread half of the tortilla chips onto the prepared baking sheet, then top with half of the beef, half of the shredded cheese, half of the black beans, and half of the corn.

5️⃣ Run it back with the remaining chips, beef, cheese, beans, and corn. We’re building nachos with structure here, not a sad cheese blanket on top.

6️⃣ Bake for 4 to 6 minutes, just until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep an eye on it because nachos go from perfect to “who hurt you?” real fast.

7️⃣ Finish with your favorite toppings: diced tomatoes, pickled jalapeños, sour cream or crema, red onions, cilantro, avocado, or whatever your taco-loving heart demands.

8️⃣ Serve immediately while the cheese is hot, the chips are crispy, and everyone is hovering around the tray like it owes them money. 🌶️
