What You’ll Need

Queso
  1. 1 lb ground beef or chorizo

  2. 1 packet Simply Organic Southwest Taco Simmer Sauce

  3. 1 can Rotel tomatoes

  4. 1/2 cup red onion, chopped

  5. 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños, chopped

  6. 1 lb Velveeta cheese, cubed

  7. 8 oz pepper jack cheese, cubed

For Serving
  1. Diced tomatoes, for garnish

  2. Diced red onion, for garnish

  3. Fresh cilantro, for garnish

  4. Pickled jalapeños, for garnish

  5. Tortilla chips

Step By Step

1️⃣ Brown The Beef
  1. Heat a large skillet, preferably cast iron, over medium heat. Add the ground beef or chorizo and cook until browned.

2️⃣ Bring In The Flavor
  1. Add the Southwest Taco Simmer Sauce, Rotel tomatoes, red onion, and pickled jalapeños. Stir until everything is well combined.

3️⃣ Make It Queso
  1. Add the cubed Velveeta and pepper jack. Stir to combine, then continue cooking for about 15 minutes, stirring every 3 to 4 minutes, until the cheese is completely melted and the queso is smooth.

4️⃣ Load It Up
  1. Top with diced tomatoes, red onion, fresh cilantro, and extra jalapeños. Serve hot with tortilla chips.
