We’re taking Taco Tuesday international today. Passport stamped, playlist loud. Next stop: the Middle East, aka the global capital of spice and serious flavor.
On deck: Ground Beef Arayes. Seasoned ground beef stuffed into tortillas or pitas, pan-crisped until golden, juicy on the inside, and finished with a creamy garlic sauce that pulls the whole thing together.

Ground Beef Arayes

🔥Behind The Taco: Arayes became popular because they were fast, affordable, and wildly satisfying. Stuffed pita cooked directly over heat meant big flavor, minimal tools, and easy sharing for families and street vendors alike

🌶️ What You’ll Need
THE FILLING:
2 lbs ground beef
6 tortillas (or pitas)
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp coriander
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp sea salt
6 cloves garlic
1/2 large sweet onion
1/4 cilantro
1/4 cup parsley
CREAMY GARLIC SAUCE:
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup homemade mayo
6 cloves garlic
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp cumin
2 tsp vinegar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 heaping tbsp parsley
1 heaping tbsp cilantro
🔥 How To Make The Magic
1️⃣ Season the beef
Toss all your spices and seasonings into a big bowl with the ground beef. Mix gently. No overworking it. Set aside.
2️⃣ Sauce it up
Mix all the sauce ingredients until smooth and dreamy. Park it in the fridge while flavors get cozy.
3️⃣ Build + crisp
Stuff tortillas or pitas with ⅙ of the meat mixture. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium. Cook arayes until golden and crispy, flip and repeat. Use tongs to brown that exposed meat edge. Chef move.
4️⃣ Serve hot
Plate immediately with that garlic cream sauce. Save it. Share it. Devour it. 🌶️🥙
